Silk

Description: Lightweight shimmering or lustrous woven fabric with a smooth, soft texture.
Content: Natural fiber made of cocoons from larvae of the silkworm.
Uses, Fit: Can be used in many ways depending on what the fiber is woven with. In evening wear it can be used as lining or and overlay.  Flowing fabric.
Care: Dry clean only, fabric may shrink, however steaming may help garment to regain its shape.  Low iron or steam
Alteration Tips: Fabric can fray, and can be difficult to sew depending on the type, can be slippery.  Fabric is delicate and must be gently handled.
Expert Advice: You'll often find formal shoes available in silk that can be dyed to match your dress or that come pre-dyed.
