Lamé

Description: Lightweight fabric woven with metallic threads (aluminized nylon yarns), can be stiff.
Content: Various fibers can be used, silk, poly, nylon, etc.
Uses, Fit: Good for tailored look, or ruching details, can add volume. Crisp, not flowing. 
Care: Dry clean, iron or steam
Alteration Tips: Fairly delicate, holes from stitching will show. Moderately difficult to sew.
Expert Advice: This fabric gives you a glitzy look, but can be itchy, so a lining may be necessary.
