How do I check availability and delivery time?
Send us an email via Contact Us, call us at 1-877-769-1336, or initiate a Live Chat with one of our operators. Have your manufacturer name, style numbers, size, colors and wear date/ event date, ready. We will check our stock and the manufacturer’s stock, if necessary, and tell you when the dress you want can be delivered to you. (Please don’t forget to include all the details when you email so we can answer you faster!)
If you place an order and are not sure if the dress is available, don’t worry, we’ll let you know via email after receiving your order! We will not charge your card unless the dress you ordered is available for your wear date. In the email we’ll also tell you when you can expect to receive the dress. If it is sold out or is not available in time, we’ll give you some other options or help you with another dress you’re interested in!
Especially during prom season, the hot dress styles will go fast so be ready to make your decision if the dress you want is available. If it’s not, don’t get discouraged, there are thousands of dresses to choose from and we’ll do our best to help you find another one that you’ll love! It's always a good idea to have a second or third option ready.
Keep in mind that inventory can change everyday, every hour, and even every minute during our peak season. We keep our inventory and website as updated as possible, and although we apologize for the inconvenience, we are not responsible for items that are no longer available and can not guarantee the item you want will be available at the time you order it, in time for your wear date, or at all.
(If you were to add up the number of prom designers that we carry, times number of dresses in their lines, times all the colors and sizes each of those dresses is available in you would have get a total of approximately a quarter of a million dress options! And that's just for prom dresses! Considering this huge amount of dresses that we offer on our website it is impossible for us to keep our website updated according to our manufacturers' ever changing inventory, so we appreciate your understanding if the dress you want is no longer available. Please keep searching or ask for our help because we want to help you find a dress that you love!)

How do I know if a dress is in stock?
When viewing a product on our website, you will see a pink link: "See Selections that are Ready to Ship!" below the color and size selections. Click on this to go to a pop-up screen of the available options that are ready to ship today! Alternatively, select the color and size you want and, if it is available, a green notice: "Your Selection is Ready to Ship!" will appear. With either of these options, your dress is in our store, ready to be shipped straight to you today! See: How long does shipping take?
However, if after clicking on: "See Selections that are Ready to Ship!" it states that there are no items available or if a red warning: "Your Selection is a Special Order!" appears below your color and size selection, you dress will need to be special ordered. We always give you all the available options for a dress, even if it isn't in stock with us or our manufacturer at all times. This way, you can still order the dress to be special made for you, when available, for a wear date farther in the future.

What is a "Special Order"?
A special order is when we order in a item from our manufacturer because it is out of stock in our store. Sometimes the manufacturer has the item in stock and can ship it out to us immediately. If they do not have it in stock, it must be made to order and delivery time can vary from 2-16 weeks. Once the dress is received in our store, it is shipped to you that same day.
Although we carry thousands of items in stock, most orders are special orders do to the wide range of products that we offer. There is no additional charge for a special order, but we do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations on them. [top] -

If you need a dress in a hurry for a quickly approaching wear date, or if you just don't want to wait for a special order, check out our In Stock Dresses page. Here you will find all the dresses that we have in stock in our store that can ship out immediately!
You can filter by color and price to narrow your search. Also try sorting by name, style number or price. When you find a dress you like, just click it to view the product information, then click on "See Selections that are Ready to Ship!" to view the list of available colors and sizes. Only the options listed here are in stock.

Can I see more pictures of a dress?
We always post all of the pictures we have on the website. Often, we only have pictures of a dress from the front or from one angle. This is because our pictures are generally supplied by our manufacturers and we have no control over how they choose to photograph a dress.
We apologize for this inconvenience and understand why this makes choosing a dress really difficult. Whenever possible, we add additional pictures and descriptions to help you out. [top] -
Can I order extra fabric for a bridesmaid dress?
Yes, extra fabric is available for most of our bridesmaid dresses. You can order this through our website here. Fabric is sold in 1 Yard increments of 60". Multiple yards of fabric will be cut as one length. You will need at least 2 yds of fabric for adding an side insert to a dress. It is important to let us know the Manufacturer of the bridesmaid dress, the color and fabric type in your order notes. Ordering fabric at the same time as the dresses will ensure that they are from the same dye lot for a perfect match.

Fabric for wedding dresses is also available on a case by case basis. Please contact us for availability and pricing.

Can I see a dress in another color?
We always post all of the pictures we have on the website. Often, we only have pictures of a dress in one color available. This is because our pictures are generally supplied by our manufacturers and we have no control over which colors they choose to photograph.

Are you an authorized retailer?
Yes, we are an authorized retailer for every brand we sell here on TJ Formal! We only sell new, authentic items that come straight from the manufacturer, so you can rest assured that you are receiving genuine merchandise.
All Maggie Sottero wedding dresses will come with a "Certificate of Authenticity" and are shipped directly from Maggie Sottero to our store, then on to you.

Why has an item's information changed?
TJ Formal.com is constantly changing, evolving and updating the items offered on our site as well as the options and details associated with those items. Dresses often sell out in specific colors, sizes or altogether and options change from season to season. We reserve the right to make changes to the website and its contents without prior notice in order to have the most up to date information available.
TJ Formal strives for accuracy in all item descriptions, pictures, availability and delivery options, links, pricing and any other item-related information contained in or referenced on our website. Due to due to typographical error, human error, incorrect or updated information received from our manufacturers, or other determinates, we cannot guarantee all item-related information is entirely accurate, complete or current and TJ Formal cannot assume responsibility for these errors. In the event of an error in an item’s description, pictures, availability or delivery options, pricing, etc. due to typographical error, human error, incorrect or updated information received from our manufacturers, or other determinates, TJ Formal reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for these items and immediately correct and/ or remove the information.
Orders placed for items with incorrect or inaccurate information may not be honored and may be refused or cancelled regardless of confirmation or credit card charges. If a card has been charged, the customer shall be credited for the full amount of the charge. Should this happen for an ordered item, the customer will be notified immediately and the customer always has the option to reorder the item at the corrected price or with corrected information!
In order to ensure that all item information is as as accurate as possible, we make our best effort to keep information updated and correct. Unfortunately there are many factors, including the manufacturers that supply our products, that determine and contribute to our listed information and occasionally these factors could cause information to become outdated or incorrect without our immediate knowledge. We rely on our manufacturers to inform us of any changes to their products, but currently have no way of alerting customers of them prior to purchase if the manufacturer fails to inform us. Consequently, TJ Formal will not be held responsible for item revisions/ changes. Be assured that we will make any and all necessary revisions/ changes to items when we receive necessary information to do so.ment process will be complete.

I saw an item I wanted; now I can't find it?
TJFormal.com is constantly changing, evolving and updating to bring you the latest fashions for prom, wedding and social occasion! We often change or update the items offered on our site as well as the options and details associated with those items. We cannot guarantee that an item displayed during a previous visit will be available when you visit again. Discontinued styles, colors, sizes, etc. will be removed (or noted on the product) as soon as possible. We reserve the right to make changes to the website and its contents without prior notice.
